I think you turned the mic on too fast. after you turn the game on turn on controller 1 and then controller 2. Take batter out of controller 1. Controller 2 should be the only thing synced. NOW, turn on your mic and it should sync to the same port as the controller 2 and work. When you turn it all off and back on. you should be able to just turn on the game, controlller 1 and the mic and it should all sync up on port 1. HOPE THIS HELPS ****Again I think you turned on the mic too fast***

I just ran into this same exact issue actually. This is with a new controller from an Elite console. It does the same exact thing. Uggh.

Did you actually hold the sinc button on the headset? A lot of people had problems because they only tapped it once.
